Dave Brandl
I began writing my first play in 1988. It was produced in 1989, and published in 1991. At that point I said, "Hey, this is easy." If only . . .
However, since then, I've had 20 plays published through six publishers, with productions occurring all over the U.S., U.K., and Canada. In the 1990s, I branched out into teleplays, mostly comedies. Over the past years I began screenwriting efforts, and have an agent in Hollywood shopping a couple of scripts now. I am currently working on a full-length documentary.
I first began writing articles for Suite101 in 1998 under the topic of Playwriting. There are more than 100 articles there on many aspects of writing in general and playwriting specifically.
I also authored two playwriting booklets for SelfHelpGuides.com. In the late 1990s, I wrote theater reviews for two Denver newspapers and was the Colorado correspondent for Theater.com.
I live in Denver with my wife and four daughters, along with a menagerie of canines, felines, rodents, and reptiles.
